Unfortunately we lost Beastie Boys member Adam “MCA” Yauch the other day (May 4) to cancer. Friends, family, fans and fellow artists alike have payed tribute to the late iconic rapper in many different ways. Most notably with covers of favorite Beastie Boys’ tracks.
In my own backyard, popular music venue/bowling alley Brooklyn Bowl is about to do the same, hosting a night dedicated to Yauch with a high-def screening of his concert film Awesome; I Fucking Shot That! If you’ve never seen the film, check the clip below.

They’re screening this fucking thing with full concert sound on all four of their HD screens while you bowl, drink and eat. Entry is FREE, so get there early as it will most definitely be crowded. Eclectic Method will play an AV tribute afterward, followed by The Roots’ ?uestlove’s regular Bowl Train spot.
